WAU Collaborated with IRC at Mark Arts During Holiday Living Museum Event by IRC in Partnership with Mark Arts on December 13th, 2025, 10:00 - 12:00 Noon

IRC in partnership with Mark Arts executed a wonderful holiday event at Mark Arts celebrating cultures in different countries. They started with Storytelling then Living Museum presentations and finished with a beautiful performance by Wichita Youth Symphony.


Dr. Daisy couldn't make it to read her poem that she had planned on presenting. WAU President instead made an impromptu Storytelling about Christmas in Africa in general, while Takudzwa, WSU graduate student from Zimbabwe made a presentation on Christmas in Zimbabwe, Southern east Africa. Takudzwa and Adolphine from Congo, another WSU student, together partnered with WAU at this event.

Living Museum tables included Congo, Zimbabwe, Central Africa Republic and Japan. Here are some pictures and videos:
