World Refugee Day Event by IRC on June 21st, 2025

On June 21st, 2025, WAU participated in the activities at World Refugee Day Event organized and hosted by International Rescue Committee. The event took place outside, behind IRC offices in Wichita, Kansas and was attended by local refugees and several organizations, of course including Wichita African Union. We had a good time meeting new people and sharing information about who we are and what we do.

IRC did a great job planning and executing the event. It was a fun event with music and activities for kids and everyone. People rode bikes and played games. Baila Wichita performed ballet dance lesson for those who wanted to try. IRC served lunch and refreshments for everyone who was there. Looking forward to next year's event.
