On June 15, 2024, two members of Wichita African Union, Inc. (WAU) performed African Traditional dances at Cowley County's 4th Juneteenth Celebration in Ark City. The two members danced to Nigerian and Malawian traditional songs. This allowed us to raise $500 for charity and outreach program. Last year was our first time to attend this event there, so we were thrilled to go back when we received an invitation. At last year's Juneteenth we shared with the audience Ugandan traditional dance and drumming.

Special thanks to Robin Henderson and all members of the organizing committee for a good job keeping this celebration going. We always feel welcomed and at home.
