2025 Giving Tuesday Campaign for Wichita African Union (WAU)

Thanking all WAU donors for your generous giving through the years, helping WAU to grow and making impact in Wichita. During this Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, WAU is asking for donations to grow its Scholarship Fund, in order to give more meaningful amounts for a bigger impact. The cost of education is almost out of reach for many these days while student loans come with long-term challenges and not everyone can access them. This August we awarded $750 to five students. A monthly giving of any amount ($25, or $40 or $50 etc) would create a significant increase by the end of a year. $50 per month could provide more than half of our next award target of $1,000 per student over a period of one year. Since 2018, we have awarded 23 scholarships. Looking to raise $4,000 with this campaign.

We would like to grow the WAU donor community. Please share our campaign with those you know have philanthropic intent or would be interested in supporting our mission of promoting educational excellence in Kansas. We can also accept Donor Advised Funds (DAF), Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD). We are open to discussing legacy giving and to receiving stocks. Our campaign will run until December 31, 2025.
