Dear Prospective Guest,

This letter is coming from Wichita African Union (WAU). A 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. WAU’s mission is to unite African immigrants in Wichita, promote educational excellence, outreach programs and collaboration with like-minded organizations. We are thrilled to inform you of the upcoming 12^th WAU Annual Celebration on Saturday, August 30^th at Hyatt Regency Wichita. See the attached flyer for ticketing details and time.

The WAU annual event is a cultural event. The event brings together the local community including students, guests from nearby cities as well as from other states, for an evening loaded with fun cultural activities: music, dance, Fashion Show and delicious African dinner dishes and snacks.

The most important part of the event is award of scholarships to college and university students studying in Wichita and the surrounding towns. This year, like in the past couple of years, four students will be awarded scholarships.
