Giving Tuesday/End-of-Year-Fundraising Campaign

Wichita African Union (WAU) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposed. Its mission is to promote educational excellence through award of scholarships; promote outreach and collaboration with like-minded organizations involved in outreach and volunteerism. Between 2018 and this year, WAU has awarded 23 scholarships to students attending local colleges and universities. We are very thankful for what we have been able to accomplish together through the years. Your support has helped to advance our mission. As we approach the end of the year, we would like to give you an opportunity to make a donation and join the WAU Donor Community. You may choose between making a onetime donation and a recurring donation. A recurring donation of $50/month for one year would provide more than half of one scholarship as of now. This year one scholarship was $750 and we awarded five. We hope to be able to increase the award to $1,000, in the near future. Due to rising cost of almost everything, the cost of education is almost out of reach for many. Your donation will help relieve the financial burden on students.

We are also providing mentorship for African refugee students and other African newcomer students, as well as filling gaps in other areas where possible in the community.
