Raised in a community where education was facilitated by missionaries, Larry started his schooling at Saint Bartholomew Elementary School, a place of significant personal history, being located just steps from where he was born.
Transitioning to Oraifite Secondary School, Larry's experiences were shaped by challenges, from using lanterns as the only source of light for studying at night to enduring dilapidated classroom conditions. Despite these hardships, he reflects on this time as among the best of his life, demonstrating his unyielding spirit and appreciation for the opportunities education provided.
His journey to the U.S. for university was marked by learning not just academic subjects but profound life lessons about diversity and personal endurance. Larry’s story emphasizes that while everyone’s path ends, the routes we take are uniquely carved by our experiences and choices.
