12th WAU Annual Celebration

A celebration of African cultures and of educational excellence. There will be students accompanied by faculty and staff from a number of colleges in Wichita and the surrounding towns. Four students will receive scholarship awards at the event. 5:00 - 6:00 PM guests will tour African Safari exhibits where you will see displayed artifacts from different countries in Africa and a chance to taste popular African snacks such as mandazi and the popular Kenyan tea. During this time you can take pictures as you move around. Program will start at 6:00 PM followed by dinner, the program and Fashion Show. DJ will keep you on your toes with African music throughout the night. You can't miss this event.
