11th WAU Annual Celebration

This event brings together people from the local community and outside the state every fall. The highlight of the event is scholarships, so donations will be accepted at the event and we are now tax exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Tax Code 501(c)(3), effective December 15, 2023. There will be a silent Auction and Raffle drawing, so come prepared to participate. Expect to experience yummy African snacks during the social hour and the popular African cuisine main dishes at dinner time. Be ready to enjoy African cultural activities such as dance, music, fashion, viewing Safari displays by different African countries. We will also stage a panel about Africa and the African diaspora today. There will be a cash bar.
